You'd probably get anywhere between 0 and some number of plays in before you get banned, but you will get banned and that's it. (Also openly admitting to piracy is usually not the best choice around here.)

You’re going to want that lan play thing that people with banned systems use. Not sure on game compatibility tho. That’s something you’ll have to look into yourself

Just make some friends and play local multiplayer. It's way more fun.

You can pirate games online if the switch is not banned but only for a few hours / days before it gets banned. Nintendo don't like pirates. You can do Lan-play with other pirates who do the same thing as you do

Yeah, it's simple, here's what you do:

    1. Get a job.
    2. Buy the actual games.
    3. Pay the $20/year NSO subscription. (thanks to @Dust2dust for the correction)
    4. Get another Switch for this because, by using homebrew, you've essentially opened your system up to getting banned by Nintendo.

There's a reason I have two Switches. I might make that three depending on if I feel like getting a Switch Lite at some point and if they're in stock.

Buy legit Nintendo Switch if you want online to avoid the ban. That's simple.

That's $20/year, not $20/month. No one could afford $20 every month.

I mean, there's some people here who are still paying bills off that require payments of more than $20 a month. ;) *looks into the mirror*

Still, my fingers moved faster than my brain on that one.

What about in places like brazil with stupidly high import tax? What about places where games aren't avalible full stop? What about younger people who only get a small amount of pocket money? Not everyone has the money to get games and they're sometimes completely unavalible.

Then it becomes a question on why you bought the device in the first place.

Yes, when you look at it that way, it's no worse than paying any other commodity like phone, cable, electricity bill, but considering this is just purely entertainment, and not at all essential for most people, not very many would want to pay $20/month. So I guess we're lucky that Nintendo is reasonable with the pricing.

    Well, here's the thing:

    1. The OP lives in Canada. While I don't know much about Canada's pricing on things other than that it seems like items could be double the price up there compared to the US, my understanding is that it isn't Brazil like where you live at!

    2. Needless to say, you're gonna do whatever you want to get what you want. Fact is though, it's not something one should discuss on these forums here. Let's just say there's this...unwritten rule regarding the means by which OP is getting and playing the games that you'll see not just GBATemp follow, but the PCSX2 and the Dolphin forums will follow as well. It has to do with laws in the US.

    3. In the case of games being completely unavailable, what I said above applies even more so.
