Don't worry about it. The game was marginal.

The game is amazing. $6 is an absolute steal for one of the best game boy games ever created, and the second best Zelda after Link to the Past.

Actually, it goes like this:

Twilight Princess > OOT > Minish Cap > Oracle of Ages/Seasons > Link's Awakening > LTTP

Actually I would say it more like this
OoT>WW>MM>LTTP>TP>LA
Thier all great but I liked OoT the most because of the story and new style of gameplay. WW because it gave a bit of a more cheerful look then any other zelda. MM because for some reason im the one of the few that found a very very strange zelda game that was timed fun.
LTTP felt like it established the basis in which most zelda games story flowed. TP felt alot like a OoT remake with a hint of MM but with a fresh story and tune up. LA just because it was a funny off beat adventure which reminded me of MM mixed with WW in a very odd and good way

I preferred Adventure of Link to Link's Awakening.

Agree with all posts about saving, Lameboy always wiped my save just before Kanalet Castle, annoyingly.
Plus I have pirated too much from a company I like and now feel guilty.

WW -> MM -> LttP -> LA -> MC

Edit- I have both original carts, GB and GBC. The GBC one won't save anymore, but the GB still does?

I've only played it for about 20 minutes so far. It's fun, but I totally suck, and don't know where to go ha ha..

Read what you're told.
I did. But it took me to a place with a deadend.
I know the game very well, tell me what you've done and I can drop a hint or two.

Also, this game is very much worth buying if you're looking to expand your 3DS software library.
Depending on your tastes you might find the 3DS library a bit scant right now.

I did a playthrough of Link's Awakening in anticipation of Ocarina of Time 3D.

Actually, the DX version also included photographs, 12 in total to be found at certain events in game.
On the original gameboy you could print these with a gameboy printer, those were the days.

Fun fact, the first photo you can take can be changed by saying no enough times.

Reason for buying it?
1- If you don't have the original cart on GBC;
2- If your original cart on GBC has a dead internal battery;
3- If you want to support the devs for a great game like this;
4- If you want to support the devs a second game, in case you already bought the GBC one.

sorry i don't need to buy it again i have the original carts of dx and the black and white one so i don't see why it's justified paying again for the same game a 3rd time do you? (and yes the saving still works)

QUOTE(Nathan576 @ Jul 12 2011, 12:02 AM) Fuck it I bought it anyways. I figured now I wont have to worry about my save corrupted or losing my save because my flashcart getting disabled or some shit. I make $6 in like 40 mins anyways.

that is still not a excuse i am sure you could have played the game on another hendheld like a psp a gb micro or whatever but if you have money to burn then whatever.

You guys are basically overlooking that not everyone is in their late teens or early twenties, and played the game.
The service is a great way to bring some classics to a younger generation of players.

I agree, plus there are older people out there who didn't get it the first time- I know at least two 30-somethings who own all 3d Zeldas, but none of the classics

You are but one person! In 2 years I will fall into your category as well.
I got a mate to download it after he came round and I made him play 4 swords adventures with me (in retribution for all those COD events he invited me to). Now a Zelda addict- job's a good'un

Apart from the handiness of not needing to whip out your DSLite, GBA..or whatever you may have previously bought it on (and that's if you do have them)...then i don't see the point in it, i have that game already, I'm not buying a new one each decade it's re-released (with the exception of OoT).

However, a nice little idea for young gamers who are new to the oldskool.

I didn't intend to start a what's better than what discussion, but what the hell. The following is MY OPINION, not a statement of FACT.

1. Link to the Past
2. Link's Awakening
3. The Legend of Zelda (original)
4. Oracle of Ages/Seasons
5. Zelda II
6. (Honourable mention) Majora's Mask
7. (Honourable mention) Wind Waker

Ocarina of Time, Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks and Twilight Princess are all turds. I fully expect Skyward Sword to be as well, because the Zelda franchise has been dead for a long time. Nintendo forgot a long time ago what makes these games fun. Yes, I have played them all, more than once too. So there ya go.

I get that people think OoT is the best because that's where they began, just like a lot of people who were exposed to RPGs for the first time with FF7 (another huge turd). However, both OoT and FF7 are poor examples within their franchises as whole.

/end of my opinion.

And your first was LttP, right? Mine was, and it was my favourite for a long while- WW toppled it by being the game to re-ignite my Zelda passion, forcing me to go back and buy up all those I had missed! Nice to see some Zelda II love (I am not trying to join the "which Zelda is best" debate, just being a pest!)

On topic- there are many people who don't know how to pirate games, let them have the ability to own it as it is a classic (this comment is aimed at the whole thread)

Hell yesh!

Our young wipershnapers need to learn and appreciate that there were games that you could actually play for hours on end, never getting that bored, unlike the crappy new ones which dumb down the difficulty to the point where it's like playing Touhou with no enemy bullets.

They also need to learn to appreciate that not every game has to be effing 3d. Back in my day, we had only 2D with Mode 7 if we were lucky it was banging back in the day and we loved it and were happy with it.
