Hacking Is there any point in a region change if I have Luma CFW?

I recently bought a Japanese region New 3ds LL because the Japanese models go for less on eBay. I was going to install CFW and change the region, but the more I research it, the more pointless it seems because Luma basically makes the system region-free. Is there any benefit whatsoever to taking the time to change the region? Or am I good with just Luma?

I have 2 3DS, one US and one EUR both hacked with Luma CFW, what I've found is that the different region models can't do download play from one system to the other for multiplayer experiences. That's the only feature I can think of offhand where a region change might be desired, if you plan to download or host multiplayer experiences on the system with other regions systems. I would have thought that there could be some simple Luma plugin or something around this, but in my experience I've not found any.
