Hacking Is there any method to update 9.0.0 from 8.1.0?

I have read some documents and thread on this forum. but I cant understand what should I do for the update.

There's no public way of updating your 3DS right now. People are working to make it happen though.

Gateway is your only option at the moment.

If you were in the US (which I see you arent) you could use a copy of Super Smash bros between this specific serial AXCE152 - AXCE352 to update right to 9.2

I wonder if there was some way you could use a US cart for its update despite being from another region.

I don't think you need one though. As NTR uses Cubic Ninja (Which you already have)

Though, it does admittedly seem rather complicated

No way you can update from 8.1J to 9.0/9.2J yet. The working one has been stopped due to nintendo removing files from their server. You only way is to get gateway not for the purpose of updating. As for NTR I am not sure what it can help you in your situation, most likely it is not helping at all. I have both 8.1 and 9.1J, sky3ds and gateway. Gateway + 8.1J is the best combo (but you need one time cubic ninja/oot/sky3ds to install 4.x mset). Believe me on this if you don't want to risk any chance of bricking your device.

It may be then. Since i know the way to recover original content used for building the update Encrypted CDN CIA.
And the tool itself is released on that ISO site. You would still need to build a server then.

We are assuming TC's unit is a N3DS 8.1J w/o browser. Your suggestion is not helping. It is not hard to find 8.1J to 9.0J threads and so some reading.

no chance as far as i know..
with U or E its super easy.. just buy a game and update using the game.
on J theres only eshop games sadly.. so sorry !

some people have claim they have new methods, so you might wanna stay tuned for a couple of weeks before buying a gateway.
