Is there any website I can use to upload my files and keep them uploaded for a long time for future reference...? I want a website like photobucket or imageshack that keep files forever...

See that hole in your wall?
Rapidshare.com and Megaupload.com seem pretty popular lately.

When I was looking for a file host, I tried to find one that doesn't make you wait a countdown period before giving you the download link (my biggest peeve), nor a cooldown period before allowing another file to be downloaded (my second biggest peeve). Mediafire has neither of those restrictions. I used it for a while and was very satisfied.

Chlamydia is pretty widespread too, but you don't go recommending it to people.

If you just want storage for yourself (i.e. you don't want to be handing out download links) I'd advise signing up to GMail and using something like this, it's the best way to make sure your files stay where they are permanently.

Just remember that lots of these file hosting websites will delete the file(s) after 'x' number of days or if the file(s) havn't been downloaded 'x' many times in 'x' number of days.

Do what Bowser128 suggests and use GMail if it's just for storage. Mind you I don't use Gmail myself but I guess they may delete your account if you don't log in every so often?

All those kind of sites delete files after a few weeks, and the 'file manager' is just a download manager (like Flashget, but worse).

    Seriously, use GMail.
