I've come across the fact that different regions eshops have cheaper prices for some games and that apparently you can change your region and buy games from them. Is there any down side to doing this? Can you get in trouble for doing this?

downside is that region might not have your language, not all Japanese games have English and so on.

Yea, but I've seen many that do have English and many of the cheaper ones are in that region as well. So is there any other downside to doing this?

Two things I just thought of that I would like to know.

    1. If the game was released in multiple regions and you buy a specific region game are you locked to that region online?
    2. Can DLC be mixed and matched? (Ex. main game is from region A, while dlc is from region B)?

What about online are you locked to region you bought it in or do most online games let you choose the region you want to play in?
