Does it go back to normal if you hold down start/select? I might be wrong.

Im gonna have to try that.

It was set in the rsf when the cia was built and cannot be changed without extract and rebuild cia. Reference these threads: https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-general-vc-rom-injection-thread-nes-gb-c-a-etc.371894/

Thanks. Ill start reading those threads!

I was leaving that as my last option, I don't want to keep having to reboot to get into hbl to play

I've seen them but I thought it was the other way and hbl versions were faster, good to know. Thank you

I'd like to add that if you're interested the Genesis/GB/SNES emulators perform just as well.

You can grab the latest RetroArch builds here: https://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/nintendo/3ds/
Just be sure to grab the .cia pack which contains all of the emulators.

Also if you want to try out GBA emulation you can use RetroArch's build of MGBA or the official nightly build here:

I was already using the snes and gba ones, so i just installed the cia versions of those. No more having to reboot to play! Thanks everyone.
