I am switching between sysnand and emunand often. My sysnand is on the newest firmware and my emunand is in a lower firmware. So whenever I switch from sysnand to emunand my gc reader gives an error in emunand because the gc is updated. however, I dont care about the gc reader in emunand. Is there a way to turn the gc reader off only in emunand? I want to let my gamecart inside without causing this error nag in emunand (Nag: game cart could not be read).

Is the only way to remove the gamecart everytime I enter emunand to avoid this error nag?

Hope you can help me.

Not what you want to hear but I have to be the one to tell you this:
There's another way -> just update your emuNAND with ChoiDujourNX to 9.0.1 as every CFW that supports an emuNAND (AMS, SX OS) supports 9.0.1 already.

You haven't told us whether you're using Atmosphere or SX OS.

I'm going to make some assumptions that you're using Atmosphere, and you're only using CFW for emunand, and not for sysnand. Clean sysnand / dirty emunand setup.

You can add nogc = 1 in the [stratosphere] section of atmosphere/BCT.ini to disable the game cart slot.

Thank you for the fast reply. I tried your method but it sadly doesnt work. I still receive the error gc in emunand. I changed it liked this:
[stratosphere]
; To force-enable nogc, add nogc = 0
; To force-disable nogc, add nogc = 1

Or am I doing something wrong? I use Kosmos with clean sysnand / dirty emunand setup like you mentioned.

Thanks for the effort but I have some issues with some homebrews which arent updated yet, that is why I want to stay a bit lower right now.

While that is true, homebrew still has issues as every homebrew needs to be updated to support button input on 9.0+, so I would hold off on updating until you are sure all the homebrew you use is updated.

That error is normal with GC disabled, there must be a way to disable GC fully so that it doesn't occur, but as of right now, you're just gonna have to deal with the error if you don't want to eject the cartridge. At least it doesn't crash your emuNAND.

At least AMS included a service to handle that for yet not recompiled homebrews. But I think SX OS does not so you're right. :)
