Is there a way to StreetPass from home?

No one really goes out with their Nintendo 3DS consoles anymore so I never get a StreetPass hit. Is there a way I can use StreetPass from home?

I did hear about HomePass but apparently that shut down.

Other than https://gbatemp.net/threads/streetpass-2-rise-from-the-ashes.526749/ . That answer would be no. there is no way to homepass anymore
