Only lasted a year. It actually works, but only if I twist it like this:

If it works as long as you twist it, it's a contact issue. Remove the batteries, get a pack of q-tips and high-proof alcohol with no additives (spirit would be welcome) and start cleaning that PCB. Don't "pour it all over", dip a q-tip in the alcohol and go along the PCB lines, avoiding the chips and gently scrubbing at the contact points. Also make sure that you put it back together properly so that there are no loose connections. On first glance I can't see any physical damage so it's probably contact oxidation some loose connection - happens over time/due to impact/due to moisture.

If somebody knows about electronic, I can video call with you on Skype and you can help me as I try to do stuff on the controller.

How odd. You'd have to locate which exact part needs the "extra lovin'" without the casing on to determine what's loose - maybe you can solder the two pieces together. It's definitely fixable and at low cost as well.

I hit it with the palm of my hand, it worked. Then I put the screws back, it stopped working.

I think it has something to do with the battery contacts.

look at the video, all 4 leds are flashing, meaning batteries are full

check if the batteries are making good contact, maybe use some tin foil, like this:

Huh, I've never noticed that, and it's not on Nintendo's website (maybe they haven't noticed either).

Then your batteries must have died pretty fast.

oh well... take it apart again and check the circuits board and the battery contacts leading to it.
