Is there a plug in or something for AVI files yet?

Or has it been built into a recent firmware?

My SupercardDS TWO has been without AVI capabilities for a crazy long time already...

Well, you could actually say that for any question asked here. So it seems pointless to single me out...

Also, the status may change suddenly, and Google will not descriminate between old news and new.

    I guess you're right. Well, here's a link for you: http://eng.supercard.sc/manual/dstwo/.
It's the official SuperCard DSTWO site. It has all the plug ins on it, so just keep checking back. [IMG]

I just thought there might be a hack (based on iPlayer firmware) or independent homebrew or something.

It's been months and months already, and this was a selling point for the card. I think it's kind of odd that it is still a no go.

Google might not discriminate between new and old, but the GBATemp news does and you could be sure that if the SCDSTWO movie player came out, GBATemp would have been one of the first with first impressions and review.

Yeah I agree, the supercard team like to release news and updates to gbatemp about the DSTWO
so if there was one, gbatemp would be the first to know and/or have available

Yeah, we just need patience. What happened (I think) was that they released the hardware a bit early because people were clamoring for it, and that also they underestimated how much work it would be to get all those things like the SNES emulator, iReader, and video playback stuff working well in time. More than likely their team of programmers is pretty small too.

Well there's no dedicated DS2 AVI player - but there IS the old 'TunaVid' homebrew that is able to play 'AVI files that contain Xvid encoded video and MP3 encoded audio' which does work as a plugin - which you can get the files from the Wiki or DSTwo plugin post
