Gaming Is there a way to make my Power button... (WinXP x86)

I am in the process of building a media center computer for my family, and I was wondering if there's a way to make my power button (on the tower itself) enable/disable my video output...

I know that I can disable the power button altogether, but this would help us because in standby, it won't record, and we don't like to leave the monitor on, so we have to walk all the way up to it and turn it on/off... It gets annoying... VERY easily... When the monitor has no input, it just goes to sleep, so we don't have to worry to turn it off...

My mom has bad knees, so it is painful for her to do it when I am away...

WinXP Home Service Pack 3
AGP Video Card (128MB vRAM)

(I don't think anything else is relevant... Just ask if you need anything else...)

This is as far as I can help you with that, as I'm pretty sure all you can do with the power button in xp is make it restart or shutdown or standby.

simpler terms:

I want my Power button to turn on/off my VGA Output instead of the computer itself...

you could just get a remote for the pc

I know for a fact you can do it in Vista and 7 but I don't see way in XP... unless you grab a keyboard with a sleep button...
