Hacking Is there a way to identify the firmware on an unopened N3DS XL?

Going to try to get something 9.2 or below, so I can load up some CFW. Will have to sell off my beloved MH4U themed 3DS for it... but so be it. Thanks for any input!

Yep on the Box theres a version Number by which you can tell the FW of the n3ds.

So sad to see that mine WAS at 9.2 when I got it wish I never updated it now..

Yup, that's it! Going to really suck getting rid of it, since it's my favorite franchise. Really want to try out the english patch for MHX though.

You can always find a mobo and do a gut swap. I can also get them for around 280 ish if you want to sell yours and buy another

i just want to point out that this list is only of the n3dsxl consoles reported so please whether or not you personally find the info accurate upon buying one you should report your findings to the thread so it can be more accurate

Tbh we have most of the consoles on a hackable firmware listed (for the US anyway), but ya it's always nice to have definitive data on what ones aren't so people can be sure.
