You can use direct download links fine, and direct download sites vary. Even if you save it, chances are, you can't save it where you need it to be.

Then, is there a way to download them into the Save Data folder?

Not to sound rude but don't you have a usb cable for the PSP? I'm not sure you can reorganize files on the PSP outside of the appropriate plugins or on the PC. As Drake said, even if you did download it I don't think it will end up in the 'SAVEDATA' folder

There is a plugin that let's you choose where to save downloads.

But you'll probably need to extract it, the PSP can probably do this with some homebrew but it's not worth it when you can easily do it on the PC.

That save anywhere plugin doesn't let me save anywhere. Just in a few more places that I couldn't save before. I still can't access the likes of the Game folders or anything like that. Unless yet another plugin is choosing to not work properly.
