Is there a parental control option that would require a password? My friends kids keep formatting his drive, and he refuses to monitor them when using it.. And I have to hear about it all day at work.

    Hello,

I do not think there is a parental control for the DDE, unless I'm wrong.

    Ouups, I was wrong.:D

Data management or Wii settings u

"Parental Control -> Data Management" should help for this issue

This sounds more like a parenting problem. Why are the kids repeatedly reformatting the drive? Do they think that it's fun to lose their save files over and over again?

Agreed. I think it more along the lines of the kids being very young.

Dump saves from time to time and reinject them after you're done reinstalling some games.
That might be a fix for [Sorry for this word] pesky kids which love to run around Wii U System Settings.
