Hey guys. I want to hack the 3DS for a friend of mine who wants to give it to his daughter. To make it easier for him, I want to install freeshop and some homebrew. The question now is, can I somehow add parental control to FBI, freeshop and the homebrew launcher, so his daughter can't access these apps? Any tools which I can use for this?

You can use the Parents Control in Settings to enable a passcode every time someone wants to access those apps. I do it and it works like a charm. As long as it is a CIA that you installed the Parental Control will work.

fbi and homebrew launcher have parental restrictions enable, freeshop currently not, but will have probably in a future version (there is already an enhancement request on github for it)

The age rating of an app is written into its icon, it's then up to who creates/compiles/romhacks it to set an appropriate age :)
