    Here's the situation:

I accidentally deleted .sav file for pokemon HG which I spent more than 70 hours. I managed to retrieve it using some restoration software, put it back into the memory card but the pokemon game starts all over again. And I really, really do not want to start again...after the 70 hours...sigh. I have tried...

    1) creating a new .sav, overwriting it with the retrieved one
    2) delete that .sav, simply copy and paste the retrieved one
    3) renaming both .nds and .sav altogether

The .nds and .sav are named the same. Is there a software out there that I can use to check if my .sav file is corrupted, overwritten or is working? I know there's one to check if a NDS game is working. Please help, thanks!

Did you try renameing your save to .nds.sav?

    Such as

    GAME: Animal Crossing: Wild World.nds
    SAV: Animal Crossing:Wild World.nds.sav

The integrity of files that have been deleted are never really conserved. It's highly likely that your save is now corrupt.

    Sorry.

Sora1234, I shall try doing that...but the file was originally ".sav" instead of ".nds.sav".

Gnargle, that's the most unfortunate thing. But I still hope there's a miracle to fix it...somehow...

karlee12, I did retrieve the deleted file but it might be corrupted. So I would like a software to check the .sav file....Anyone?

Pokesav for HH/SS can check the recovered .sav file to see if it contains your Pokemon save data.

    Linky link.
