I haven't seen anything in the last day about installing homebrew channel on vwii AFTER getting the latest update, just wondering if there's a risk of bricking or anything else i need to be aware of. I still have my wii loaded with homebrew apps/emulators so I'm not in a huge rush to put it on the U, but if there's nothing to worry about I'll go for it.

    thanks

Nope, works perfectly fine on every version, even the latest one. Just make sure once you have the channel installed you don't do anything stupid with IOSes and brick it :P

Just did it today on a brand new Wii U, with yesterdays update installed, working like a charm.

The only risk is voiding your warranty (if you still have one).
