Just get a DSTWO.
That card supports all firmwares and can even play GBA games on a 3DS.

Mine works on my US N3DS XL. I don't remember what firmware i'm running, but it's below 9.2

Whoops! Read the thread incorrectly, i was referring to the DSTWO. BUT, according to that page, it works on all firmware. Nintendo haven't pushed an update blocking DS flashcarts in quite a while though.

I have that one and yes it works on both my N3DSs 9.0.

I bought it from RHS but got my gateway from modchipdirect. Order d on a Friday and had it on Tuesday. In fact I need to get another r4, I should do that right now.

I am having freeze issues with my r4 right now so good you can get the DStwo.

Yup. DSTWO is the only flash cart that has not needed multiple hardware revisions to keep 3DS compatibility. They are also really fast at updates when the cart is blocked. Usually within a day
You can't go wrong with that cart.
