I'm not sure but wouldn't backing up everything like save data and miis, and then factory resetting work just as well?

There are Tools for install/uninstall Channels like

- AnyTitle Deleter (MOD)

- Duplicate Channel Remover
(like the Name says for deleting Double Installations from Channels from different Regions for Example).

or

- use the Wii System Menu - Data Management - Channels Option
for removing any Channel that was previously installed


Factory Reset and/or System Updates are not really an Option for modded Devices !!!
