I'm playing fire emblem, and one mistake means I gotta reset the game, reload and try again. Right now I'm hitting the home button, closing the software, then reloading. Is there a faster way to reset the game or reload my game save?

there has been software reset combination since the game boy era (or even before).. only few games disable this to prevent abuse or because they are "special"...
usually you can soft reset a 3ds or a DS game with start+select+L+R
in game boy you could press start+select+a+b

(note the "plus" means "at the same time")

thanks that is faster!
unless they been cheaping out on the digital manual to save up digital paper, this is in most cases mentioned in the manual along with the key combo to reset the save data.. (which nowadays does not apply because you can delete it in the system settings)
but software reset has been really usefull
