When the native console is hacked, do you think it will be able to run N64 games smoothly? What about Gamecube? I'm interested in purchasing one just for emulation purposes and would like to know its potential.

Well, it can run a playable Super Mario 64 using Daedalus inside the TN-V exploited built in PSP emulator.

So, to be clear, an emulator, running inside an emulator can already produce an acceptable N64 experience on the Vita.

Of course, you still need someone to code a native emulator properly, and Vita-mode access...

Absolutely, you can even do it right now in PSP mode, but it may be a while before native hacks.

Definitely not GameCube, even the top end of Android devices can't run Dolphin very well yet, the technology just isn't there. Tegra X1 might be able to do it.
