I have both a Steam Deck with a 1TB SSD/!TB SD card and a chipped OLED Switch. Both are great for their own reasons. I mostly use the OLED switch for retro gaming since it is lighter and better suited for light load gaming and the Deck is used mainly for triple A heavy games.
Yes, the Deck can do everything the Switch can, but it's not necessarily the best tool for every situation.
But in the end, as far as Nintendo is concerned, they could care less what everyone else does because they will do their own thing and people will buy it regardless of all other considerations.
