Im thinking of picking up a new 2ds xl wnd this week, since I heard its lighter then the n3ds xl, is it as light as the o3ds ? Im upgrading from o3ds to n2ds xl, just wondering if its as light or not to heavy from it.

-got both systems and the 2ds xl is very much lighter than o3ds indeed.

Not having one, I'm going to say most likely not. It's physically much bigger and although it lacks a few features the bigger screens and battery still weigh more.
But I don't think you'll find it too heavy. Because it's bigger, there's more to hold on to and it feels subjectively lighter than something smaller weighing the same.

As quoted in Wiki here:

While the original 3DS weighs approximately 230 grams (8.1 oz), the larger XL version weighs approximately 336 grams (11.9 oz).

Here's a picture of weight comparison of New 2DS XL:

So the N2DSXL weighs 1.2 oz/ 34 g / 0.075 lbs heavier than the O3DS.

It's a good thing the N2DS XL is much lighter than all 3D XL versions. I had an O3DS XL and sold it to get a n3ds, which also has a much nicer weight to it.

It's 9.2 oz., same as the old2ds which is pretty impressive. It feels hollow when you pick it up.
o2DS has a single big screen which adds some unneeded weight, but that is kind of impressive for a device that's physically much larger and has more plastic. I suppose maybe the o2DS uses thicker, sturdier plastic since it doesn't have the clamshell design to protect it and is mainly targeted at little kids.
The 2DS XL board does look a bit empty looking at the iFixit teardown, which makes sense given that it's mostly the same guts as a n3DS put into a larger shell, but nothing that would translate into a large amount of weight saving.
