I ask as just been scanning through the eshop and I have noticed there is an update for it marked 1.01 but I didn't think it came out till the 2nd of next month

Yeah I said I didn't think it came out till the 2nd of next month but this is the first time I have seen an update to a game BEFORE the game was actually released. This could be an indication that Super Mario Maker could be exploitable

Its out on the eshop servers because it has to be. It was the same with sun/moons preload day one update.

sun and moon dont have any updates that i can see. on release day it had to "update" to download the seed. but thats different from this.
