I decided to take the plunge into hacking once I saw that we have emuNAND on the Switch. To my understanding, if you load the emuMMC configuration and stay offline, and then remove the SD Card and reboot into OFW, there is essentially no way for Nintendo to detect CFW being used. Is this as ban-proof careful as you can be or is there another way we could get caught? I know nothing is guaranteed but I'm wondering if using this setup I can switch to OFW and play online while remaining undetectable.

That's what I've been doing too. Using 2 different memory cards for ofw and cfw. Haven't been banned for the past month so far...

But I doubt anyone can actually give you a 100% guarantee since Nintendo really beefed up security now. No telling how the game might change.

But i believe they may ban you even with emunand / emummc as what is the one/two things that stay with you at all times??

The Joycons may be used to detect CFW. idk if any developers has found any code of this yet but i believe this will get users banned when it/if can be implemented.

So stay safe and wait on all system updates to make sure you will not get banned.

Better stay offline than be paranoid.

Meaning what? How can they detect anything with the joy con? You mean the contacts being bridged on boot?

I've already been banned twice so not biggie, But what im saying is a their might be a future joycon firmware update that may detect CFW on an offline EmuNand and report the console when using OFW.
I don't know the possibility of this actually happening and im not paranoid lol.. Just seems that it can be a possible action that can be done.

The JoyCons have updatable firmware, so it's possible in theory that the Switch could communicate to the JoyCons that hacks have been detected in CFW and when you boot back into OFW or even if you use the JoyCons on another Switch they could communicate it back to the Switch. I kind of find that unlikely to happen though.

That's why I don't go online in CFW. I have two switches, one totally clean and one for CFW. If I really want to play a game online, I buy it.

If you stay offline whenever you use cfw, that would prevent banning on the ofw side of the sysnand/emunand setup right?
