Hardware Is replacing the 3DS' LED lights for different colors a possiblility?

also would it be possible to use a small chip to control an rgb led, and let the 3ds turn it on and off? essentially making the power led constantly change colors?

you can replace the led colours but requires soldering and i dont know about the chip thing
i also got a similar question (sorry for hijacking) is it possible to add an option to rosalina so we can have a custom led colour while we play our games

there is a cia for that. also, as for the chip, the gc had a chip that did exactly this. it let the gc controll the on/off, but the small chip cycled the colors.

also, iirc, there have been circumstances where this has caused a brick, but i dont think it has happened on the most recent version, or at all on a n3ds.
