Hacking Is R4i Gold 3DS Flash Card safe?

I saw somewhere that the R4i Gold 3DS Flashcard was a gateway clone that would brick your 3ds, and I'm wondering if that is true.

If it matters I'm on a console with luma3ds and on Firmware version 11.10.0-43U

no it's not a gateway clone it can't run 3ds roms And yes Moonshell works on it

What interests me right now is why people are increasingly lately asking if this or that is safe? Nintendo is now focusing on the switch. They do not really care what happens with the 3DS or the Wii U. But btw, the Wii U was a flop. If you're so worried about your consoles, do not play around with it. Flash cards are safe, that's for sure. But even if, some cards were blacklisted, nothing more, use it or let it be. And btw buy the card here. This site is a sponsor from gbatemp iirc.
