Everyone recommends it? It was a pay to play arcade which hands out badges to decorate your home menu with. Well it was like 99% pay to win. You'd get the rare free play. There's a homebrew out that lets you install official badges for free and even user made badges as seen on https://themeplaza.eu/?category=badges&query=&sort=newestyou know everyone recommends this game,, I still have no clue wth the game even is,, I mean what is it
Have you reset your 3ds connection settings. and tried deleting and reinstalling the title?My sister's N3DS XL has the same issue. No idea how to fix it.![]()

How is that at all relevant? This has nothing to do with CFW or not.Think I'll pass then, I installed cfw on my system for a reason lol

You don't need CFW for homebrew. That's why i said CFW is completely irrelevant to this.Well you can install any and all the badges you'd like for free with CFW and the GYTB homebrew. So in the sense that the end result of receiving badges to decorate your home screen can be achieved for free with CFW vs having to pay to win badges in this game without CFW will cost you money.

It literally has a homebrew (ninjhax) version premade for use.Pretty sure if you use GYTB without a CFW, the badges that you "install" don't actually get added to the system menu. I may be wrong, but I would be surprised if they somehow did.

It's possible, because badges are stored in HOME Menu extdata.I don't doubt that you can launch the homebrew through Ninjhax, I'd expect that to be possible. I'm more curious whether or not it will actually write the badges that you install through this homebrew but without having a CFW. I find it hard to believe it would rewrite that part of the 3DS without a CFW, but until I see anything confirming one way or the other (it existing for Ninjhax homebrew is not confirmation of it actually installing the badges, just confirmation that it runs through Ninjhax, which again, I'd expect), I'll continue to be doubtful while I try and find any more concrete information on this.

If anyone wants to fix the .3dsx version to work with the latest firm, just do the following simple changes:
Hex edit the 3dsx file - 0x407F0: 75 -> 61
And change the .xml file to the following:
<targets selectable="false">
<title mediatype="0">0004001000021000</title>
<title mediatype="0">0004001000022000</title>

</targets>
A summery of what's happening here. This is changing the requested service from act:u to act:a which also has support for ACTU_GetAccountDataBlock, which is needed by this program. Act:a is conveniently included in System Settings and that is the app called in the above XML in various regions. This gets GYTB past the hurdle of taking over Badge Arcade or needing cfw to get the necessary service permissions. Hope this helps some of you elf monsters out.
edit: i guess i have some sympathy for the non-dyi crowd. attached.
It works perfectly fine. I remember using it with the homebrew launcher way back when. Also why would the dev release a homebrew version if it doesn't even work?I don't doubt that you can launch the homebrew through Ninjhax, I'd expect that to be possible. No, that's a fix for a firmware update which stopped it working. the dev didn't update it at that time anymore.Yeah, as I was looking through the topic, I found this post earlier last year:
It would seem that it is possible, but it definitely was not from the start, and appears to only have able to do so as late as January of last year after this post
