Gaming Is my DSL fast enough to support XBOX Live?

Here my speed test. My download fluxes from 1 to just under 3 Mb/s. I hope my ping is low enough too.

I used to play on 300 KB/s download and maybe 50 KB upload.
All worked fine.
Had lag but voicechat was fine.

Oh good, now that I know the almighty retrodoctor feels sorry for me I no longer have shame for my internet speed.

Not everyone lives in an area where high-speed internet is available, let alone can afford high-speed internet.

I'm in a "new" part of the city and the cheapest connection here is ~3 MB down and ~1 MB up.
It's not one of the fastest but I still pay 20 quid a month for it or something

At my parents place it was 300/50 KB and it went up to 800/200 only a year ago.
That's pretty much one the fastest connection there

I have 8mb d/. 5mb up.. With an average ping of 150+. You should be fine as long as you don't share the Internet with too many people

Where I live we could pay $50 a month for 6mbps download and...Which is fucking ridiculous. Right now we pay...I think $20 a month for half that speed.

I dunno why or how you guys could take my comment as meaning anything but jest. Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it much. You probably don't pay for your ISP, so it's safe to say this is someone else's (parents, college) problem.

I can't afford faster Internet.
And I'm pretty satisfied with the current speed.

I moved a location where I can only play on 3g from Verizon and my speeds run from 0.80 to 1mbps download and 0.06 upload with a 150 ping and I can play MW3, Halo & Mass Effect 3 online just fine with small amount of lag. I know you can run most of everything fine.

My mobile broadband is a bit slower than your speed and I can play pretty well, so yeah it does support your speed.

But now I convinced my father to start paying for internet, since we originally were using a hacked modem that Comcast deactivated. But now we officially have Comcast, $25's a month promotion and I get this.

I've had my Xbox Slim work by tethering it to my iPhone's 3G connection. You'll be fine.

that speed is fine, I used to have 1.5 mbps and I almost never lagged. That was even with 2 xboxes playing halo at the same time...1 computer on youtube messed everything up though.
