my brother today tried to downgrade his psp to 5.00 OFW using a pandora battery made by some homebrew he got, this firmware that was downgraded was 6.35 on a psp 1000, after that he used a magic memory stick and downgraded, right after that he told me that it could read his memory stick, is there a way to fix this?

if your brother turns the PSP on , the light lights up but the screen is just black , that means it got bricked . i forgot how it worked , but i recommend your brother to remake the Magic Memory Stick by using the program called "PSP Grader" which can be in this thread.

when i downgraded my bricked PSP 1000 , i used that program and it asks you which button you want to use so that when you turn it on , you hold the button and it shows the recovery menu . after that , it's just straightforward installation for CFW .

    PSP? Not bricked, at all.
BUT, all you need to do is format the memory stick FAT32 file system of course

Did you format the memory stick like I said or did you just check the file system?

Try it from PSP, if that doesn't work, copy the Pandora files back to the memory stick from PC and run it. (Unless you still need to install from psp.... idr...)

And then run the set up again.

Your psp isn't dead it just may have a corrupt memory stick driver or whatever
