Homebrew Is my 3DS unable to downgrade?

Memchunkhax2.1 wasn't patched, and downgrading regular titles is possible (When a reliable method is out). You can't downgrade Native_Firm iirc unless there's an ARM9 exploit. Either sell that 3ds and get a new one, hardmod, or wait. You could be waiting a few months at least if you want to wait for a downgrade method.

ARM11 exploit. We haven't had an ARM9 kernel exploit since 9.2. (Except for Arm9LoaderHax). And Memchunkhax2.1 was completely patched. The svcBackdoor was removed entirely, and we can only add it back through CFW. It's never coming back the way it was before. You can't downgrade regular titles. • New security checks in kernel heaps were added which makes "svchax" require extremely precise timing and trickery to execute, breaking it (possibly permanently) unless a fix is implemented
• Downgrading in general, regardless of any arm11 kernel exploits (like svchax) released in the future, has been broken (possibly permanently). The firmware now contains a hardcoded list of minimum versions, and will not let us install a system title of a lower version than in the list, even if we have permission to install our own titles. This will make downgrading on 11.0.0's firmware impossible if no software workaround is found.

I recommend a modder @hundshamer, he'll downgrade and hard mod it professionally for $50. If you ask him nicely, he'll probably help you setup cfw too. He's located in the states if you're wondering.

I'm looking for a job and don't exactly have much money to spend like some other people out there. I've searched for places like that before, and there are none anywhere near where I live. Is it wrong to feel bad for messing up a gift?

if you only got it recently you could just make up a fault and return it to the store and get a replacement, and this time do not leave it unattended

PS while i'm an avid believer in people taking responsibility for their own actions (even if it was someone else who pulled the trigger)....its an option still

PPS if you do go with the nand mod downgrade option, you could opt for a non-permanent mod to just downgrade back to 9.2 this should be cheaper than a permanent mod, but im pretty sure @hundshamer isn't taking on any more work right now, but @vb_encryption_vb also does nand mods and is US based
