Homebrew Is it true that using CFW/homebrews on a Switch is forbidden by law in Japan?

I'll be in Japan soon for a few days and obviously I'm taking my hacked Switch me but I remember reading somewhere that it's forbidden by law to have consoles hacked there so I could be jailed or at least accused. Is that true?

You should be fine...
A - You didn't hacked it in Japan, you're not a Japanese citizen either... Just a tourist... However, don't hack your new console in japan...

B - Piracy is also illegal and you won't find a lot of people being attacked for it (mainly hosting websites, not standalone users)

C - If your Switch was hacked before the law passed, you're fine.

D - A lot of japanese people do have hacked consoles, don't worry... They risk way more than you would...

E- Even if a policeman would look at you, they would mostly don't care for your case... I've seen some stories of police officers asking to hack their consoles and download games...

Nobody has EVER asked me to turn on any laptop, console, or handheld, so that they could inspect it. I wouldn't worry. Lived here (minus a 3 year period) since '98. Hell, porn (like real, uncensored porn) is illegal here too, and I've got some on most of my handhelds (and of course laptop). Porn web sites aren't blocked by ISPs either

I went to japan for a month, from Colombia, with my hacked Switch and 3DS on my bag, played with them, on plane, metro and never had a problem, just make sure it is not easy to tell your consoles are hacked and you will be fine.

Whether it's illegal simply to have put CFW in your switch or not over there I am not certain, but to be safe, you should remove the SD card and boot in OFW for the time being.
Lastly, don't take your switch with you if it's that much of a concern.
