Hacking is it safe

hi guys

i have a softmoded wii 4.2e
and its a LU64 version console

i would like to know if its safe for me to verginize my wii virginize back to 4.2e with no softmods on it

p.s i have priiloader and bootmii installed (boot mii as a IOS) as i could not install it as boot2 :< iv made a nand backup using this method

That will in no way virginise your Wii (safe updater). All it will do is leave the cIOSes unstubbed and boot2 as is.

Doesn't cIOSCORP have an uninstaller now?

you're welcome. so you know about that guide then. it is safe as long as you know how to follow instructions correctly and most specially you know what you are doing.

iv just rembered something
i had startpatch to install some hacks but i cant remove them is (just keeps saying nothing in the dol )

how do i remove thease before i start (as start patch wont do it )

Reinstall your system Menu: Install wads of IOS70 and System Menu 4.2E obtained through NUS Downloader in that order

If there's another way of removing patches, feel free to enlighten me

Actually it just says to run startpatch and disable the hacks
But I don't know if thats even needed since the guide re-installs the system menu and uses Nandclean

i re-read your tut at CSG. it says to run startpatch to disable the hacks. you could do this to remove the hacks but installing the system menu uninstalls all hacks. kinda redundant in a way but no harm done.

If you have Startpatch, run it and uninstall ALL hacks.


what i am saying when i run startpatch and select the hack iv installed it wont uninstall it comes up with

the patch section was not found in the dol nothing to do

iv tryed Nandclean but it dosnt work

hacks iv installed are

move disk channal
