Homebrew Is it safe to use the N3DS’ built in wireless “micro sd management” to move cfw files?

As of a certain feature update Windows removed protocol for older versions of SMB that the 3DS is using, so unless you're on a Windows 10 that hasn't been updated in ~2 years or Windows 7 or lower, it won't work.

Nintendo cannot track your use of the SMB protocol anymore than the other members here. Anyway, there’s no financial incentive for them to do so. The 3DS is out of production.

That said: if you are on CFW and want to transfer files wirelessly from a PC or mobile device you should really download ftpd.

micro sd management is far better than homebrew doing the same thing, but I'd suggest manually moving the files. it's much better and faster.
