Hello Gbatemp, so heres my scenario. I today recieced a new 3ds xl and I wanted to know if its safe to swap out the motherboards of the 2 systems I have (both are new 3ds xl). I don't think the job will be hard for me since I take apart electronics all the time but is there something that may go wrong? Maybe like reassembly problems or something else.

Be extra mindful of all the ZIF and ribbon connectors. The one that attaches the power board is a bitch.

It's really easy. Just watch out for the black connectors. Do NOT pry them up. The ribbon cable slides out.
