Is it safe to install a wii game in to trips?

Gday! So, my sd card is not big enough to fit lego city undercover so i was thinking if i could fit it into 2 parts. is this possible? or even safe?

got it working takes 6 hours but thats faster than buying a new sd card (i also ment the wii u version)

Use Wii U FTP Server next time. It's faster than FTPiiU. Or just use NUSspli to download the game directly to the USB drive (for Lego City Unercover / 18.8 GB it takes around 2 hours with a LAN adapter).
