Hacking Question Is it safe to have a SFW Custom Avatar / Icon on the Nintendo Switch?

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forums so I hope I asked it in the right discussion. If not, I'm sorry.
I have a question about getting a custom avatar on the Switch.
Is it safe? Have there been people banned for it?
I am not interested in anything else except for a custom avatar but I need to be sure if there have been people banned for using one.

On principle, yes. If they haven't yet, they definitely will at some stage; Nintendo aren't pulling any punches with the Switch.

No idea if someone has been banned for it, but I wouldn't risk it. That's just asking to be banned.

It is a bannable offense when your local user is linked to an online account, and I read this is what they do ban for. You break the online users' agreement when you ALTER online activities or services in any way. An unlinked local user would be considered save, at least your online account that is.

doubt anyone has been yet, but i am nearly certian those who have changed it even if they change it back to a typical icon will get a ban. wouldn’t recommend it.

I changed my Avatar's skin colour to green on Xbox live (360) and got my account banned from online to the end of time, i'd say Nintendo would do the same to you if you modified anything that isn't supposed to be modified
