So I was cleaning out my night stand and ran across some strategy guides I forgot I had (thought I sold them about a year ago when I sold a bunch to some guy). One of them is the guide for Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest. I started looking the guides up on ebay out of curiosity and saw this:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Super-Nintendo-FINAL-F...p3286.m20.l1116

If you don't want to click the link, it's a copy of the Mystic Quest guide being sold for $70.

    Now for my question.

    Is it really that rare?

Oh ffs ozguy, I'm simply trying to inquire about the rarity of an item. My ebay name is down_with_emos if you must know. That is NOT my listing. If I wanted to sell an item, I'd come right out and post it in the for sale section.

I've seen quite a few old strategy guides listed one ebay for quite a bit of money, not quite sure how many people would buy them these days, and I doubt there are many enthusiasts that collect them, so even if you list it the chance of it selling is probably rather low, especially considering few people would even play that game these days, not to mention the fact there are probably 10+ guides on GameFAQs.

Also a lot of older strategy guides had a rather limited run from what I remember, they probably would have became quite rare after a few years, and especially after a new console generation was released.

Do a search on old strategy guides and check the "completed listings" thing
BuyItNows for high prices are never a good indication of the average price
