is it possible to use r4 ver 1.18 and ysmenu 1.17a12 at the same time?
While i'm using r4 ant then ys menu as a sub program?

Because i've been using ysmenu for sometime without R4 installed.....
With newer games forthcoming and ysmenu sopmetimes doesn't work meanwhile r4 works, it's a hassle to change system firmware......

Is there any step by step guide to this?

    thanks in advance .. [IMG]

Rename YSMENU to a .nds and start it from the games menu when you wanna use it

If you have the R4 firmware on your card and build YSMenu as an Autoloading NDS file (default.nds), as soon as the R4 firmware loads it will launch YSMenu.
If you hold B down as you turn on the DS it will skip the autoload and stay on R4 firmware.

The extra loading time should not be very noticeable.

I've been running a dual firmware setup on my original R4DS for almost a couple of years now - keep R4 gui (3 icons & themes setup [IMG] ). "Games" icon runs original R4 v1.18 & "Multimedia" icon runs YSMenu with unofficial FW 1.17.a12. I don't use Moonshell on this cart, because I don't play music/vidz due to only 2GB storage. Note: if you did, you could always have Moonshell running as a normal .nds (ie. selecting it like a rom/homebrew).
