Hacking Is it possible to load wii games from a HD without formatting it to wbfs?

I heard not long ago that you could play Wii games from an external hard drive without having to make a separate partition on it for wbfs format. If it's possible, how do you go about doing it? I only know how to do it the old way with separate partitions and wbfs manager.

use fat32 or ntfs, i recommend fat32. once you have the drive ready use wii backup manager to handle the game transfers or use your favorite loader to rip the games if you choose fat32.
