I have a HDD in my PS4 full of installed games. But I also still have the pkgs on my PC for backup. And I've reached a point where the pkgs on the PC are taking up too much storage and will have to be deleted.
So I was wondering if its possible to extract the pkg back from the installed games on the PS4 HDD. Maybe something that dumps the installed game from the console to a USB drive or maybe over the network. Maybe then I wouldnt need to keep a backup of all the pkgs on my PC.

You have many options available to extract the pkg's back from your PS4.

1. Stooged's PKG Backup. - Does exactly what you described above. Dumps the installed pkg to a USB drive.(edit the ini file to backup just the games you need)
2. Lappy's PS4-Xplorer. - A file explorer for the PS4. You could use this to copy an installed pkg to a USB drive.
3. FTP. - You could use this to copy an installed pkg to a USB drive or to your network. (a network copy will be slow over wifi)

When you install a PKG to the PS4 the PKG that is put on your PS4 is a 100% exact copy of the PKG you used to install it so it is very easy to recover that PKG for backup purposes.
