So I found this video on youtube a few weeks ago. Basically I was wondering if is possible to do something like this on 3DS, or is this a emulator exclusive thing?

It's technically possible, but not as straightforward. The texture files in OoT3D (and MM3D) are stored in archives with their corresponding 3D model files. In order to edit the textures you'll need to extract the .zar archive of the map you want to edit, edit the .ctxb texture file, repack it into the .zar, then load the edited .zar with Luma's layeredfs.

Seems like the textures are higher res than the ones in the original 3DS game, so not easily.
