Homebrew Is it possible to disable the 3ds speakers through CFW?

So I have a 3ds for about 4 years and recently it started to show signs of age, one of the speakers got defective and it's now outputing very distorted audio, very similar as seen in this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=GeNOYalC6yY if I could just disable the defective speaker and maintain the working one I would effectively turn my system into a mono device and fix the problem, so...is there a way to disable only one of the speakers?

kinda a ghetto approach, but you might try earphones with one of the buds not being in your ear.

Open it and disconnect the defective speaker (or even better replace it)... hardware problems are best solved by hardware solutions
