The reason I would like to do this is to replace it with SkyFire. It is a much more superior Web browser that I would prefer to use and I hate having two browsers on my iphone so is there any way of ridding the out of date browser for good?

iPhone Explorer doesn't use SSH; rather than manage your files over your local network, it lets you manage your iPhone's files over a USB cable.

Either one will work fine for deleting Safari. But if you're already familiar with SSH, simply go that route.

I would personally simply hide it with SBsettings. Simpler, faster and it's still available if you need it one day.

I suggest this as well, it's not on any of your homescreen pages, neither is it in a map icon.
It's gone, but still available if you need it for something.
