is it ok to ask about torrents here?
come on, you guys that are reading the topic, reply already.
It is however not deemed ok to do double posts. Especially trying to bump up a thread that was on posted 15 minutes ago.
Give people a chance to read it.
The answer is no. Unless you mean *LEGAL* torrents or the protocol itself.
Users browse the web to find a torrent of interest, download it, and open it with a BitTorrent client. The client connects to the tracker(s) specified in the torrent file, from which it receives a list of peers currently transferring pieces of the file(s) specified in the torrent. The client connects to those peers to obtain the various pieces. Such a group of peers connected to each other to share a torrent is called a swarm. If the swarm contains only the initial seeder, the client connects directly to it and begins to request pieces. As peers enter the swarm, they begin to trade pieces with one another, instead of downloading directly from the seeder.
Well torrents with warez is a big nono on GBATemp.
But i think the ones with clean content like homebrew is ok
I mean like request a torrent of a game or something. And I found a PC game that's 2 GB. Will that work, or is it a virus or what?
Dude thats warez so you can't talk about that, you'll be pirating PC games. ^
no its not okay, gbatemp.net wants to supress the masses
Though you keep talking about it. And even if you're saying you want to download homebrews, everybody knows you want to be in RevTT for pirated games.
its pretty obvious that no one buys a flash card or mod chip and uses it souly for homebrew and legal content.. GBA temp even has dedicated forums concerning roms (which are illegal anyway you look at them... even if you own the original copy) and what not.
