Homebrew Is installing DS Cias (like pokemon platinum) possible on new 3ds cfw?

Wow, I guess all you guys can do is remember these experiences and know what not to do when you become parents!!!

If there's anyone on these forums still at home and experiencing anything like this - you can talk to a teacher or counsellor about it and possibly have child protective services involved - but life as a foster kid might not be a lot more fun. And then if you have siblings the risk is you might not get placed together. So it all sucks either way :-/

This might be bad advice, but this is coming from someone who dealt with the system (had an abusive step dad so child services checked in often); wait it out. 18 comes sooner than you think. I left home exactly a week after graduating high school. I actually got to do what I wanted with my life and I don't regret it. Most people my age haven't even accomplished or experienced what I have. I hitchhiked the country for a year as a sort of soul searching thing, then settled down and now I own my own house. I have a well paying job, a wife, and so much more. I know this won't happen to everyone, but life is what you make it, and anyone can overcome a bad childhood if they truly want to.

For what it's worth, I decided to disassemble the ARM code in both wario ware for ds and wario ware 3ds. The code looks nothing alike, and some files are even smaller in the 3ds port. I'm wondering if there was a newer version of a compiler for the 3ds one that optimized the code more (which shouldn't make too much of a difference). The main issue is where it reads and writes data.

Wish i knew where you got your pokemon games from. I usually see them for $30 to $50/$60 cart only with no box, manual, or inserts.

The general second hand price around here for DS Pokemon games is around $20 for the cartridge and $30 complete, with American versions being worth less and heart gold/soul silver being worth a bit more. Although shops will stil try and charge $40 - $50. This is Aus dollars so multiply by 0.7 for US dollars. Maybe you should join some of the Aussie video game buy swap sell groups on Facebook and get a bargain :-p

gamecarts can't be patched they're ROM, and ROM means Read Only Memory, so no patching the card directly, maybe something like HANS for DS carts could work, but still is just an idea, if you want that, get your hands ready, even when the idea is interesting, i dunno if any dev could me interested in that so learn C it's the best and free option you've got, there are tons of tutorials in the internet

Trust me, I'd actually physically fought back. She was abusive and fought dirty. Threw hot coffee in my face, slammed me into a big mirrored closet door, threw a lamp at me, to name a few things. Would often steal money I earned from work, even if I hid it, she found it. Would take back gifts that she and my dad had given me for shit reasons. It was hell growing up.

because there were much interesting things coming to life when it was being investigated, twl slot-launcher, it lived bcause of that thread and it's much more interesting looking it that way, but i think tha @Apache Thunder is still researching on how to pack .nds to .cia?? i dunno, but as .nds games can be played through cheap flashcarts it's more interesting to mess with the new knowledge got from looking at how everything works, and because redirecting the save and read of the rom isn't simple, @smealum already said that it could ruin permorfance because of software having to run in the background, and redircting the read and save would be done game specific, also as we saw, while a .nds game can be packed to .cia, the game itself (or the twl firm i dunno) wants to read a gamecart which is not present. Things said, i have a little especulation but it goes as making an Emunand with the dsi firmware with gamecart and sd functions swapped, so it thinks the gamecard it's in sd and sd in slot-1, if and only IF that were possible then the next step is making the firmware think that there is a gamecart in the sd card, possibly an r4 firmware to load the games... but is easy to say it, hard to do it and i don't know how to code, but i want to learn s i can prove my point (EDIT: or prove it wrong), until then waiting is better when you study

That's actually what everybody says and i'm not saying it's wrong, i actually own 2 flashcarts, a original r4 (which came back to life thanks to apache and a r4igold3dsainsertadditionaltitleshere&knuckles, but i'd say researching for a way that renders flashcarts pointless is a thing to research in order to understand the 3ds better, until something comes to life, hail flashcarts

thing is flash cards can be hard to find
