Ok, it turns out you need a genuine, retail cart in your slot 1 in order for this game to work. The reason? It saves directly to your slot 1 cart! I lost my castlevaniaOR saves because of this stupid game, so don't bother unless you have a retail cart with saves you don't need.

Maaaan I was close to finishing my Richter file on hard mode - if I wasn't so lazy to actually beat it, I' be pissed. Now I have 2 brand games

You can play Hoshigami using FF3 in slot 1 as well.

What's frustrating is that the J version of Hoshigami boots up just fine.

I had no luck starting the u/e version of Hoshi using Brain Age though.
At least Sim City worked using the BA swap...

The key to getting both Hoshigami and SimCity working on the G6 Lite is that the cart in slot1 has to have the same save type as the rom.

Brain Age and SimCity both have the same save type, 2M Flash

Hoshigami is 512k EEPROM

I'm about to try this method... it works on M3 and since they are very similar it might work on G6 too...

You gonna need Hoshigami USA, Hoshigami JPN and DSLazy
-Open JPN ROM on DSLazy and unpack it
-Find the file arm7.bin and save it somewhere
-Open USA ROM and unpack it
-Exchange the arm7.bin for the JPN one
-Repack the USA ROM with the new arm7.bin file
-That's it... it works with Software Reset + Force FW + DMA 4X

Copy that, just tried it and works on G6 lite! Of course this is after the reviews already convinced me this game is bleh, but I'll see. Just out of curiosity, what exactly did these steps accomplish? What's arm7.bin and why did replacing it work?
