you can also load the new 1.0.5 directly from bootmii, if you're fortunate to have bootmii in boot2.

that is... from the latest version of bootmii

I cant boot HBC off of Bootmii, and i cant install the new Bootmii or HBC because it yells at me for no vulnerable IOS's

Why would you want to boot your wii in preloader and no system menu? Just boot in the system menu, then go in HBC. Preloader is useless.

really, are you that naïve? preloader is your first rescue pet if you have minor brick issues, but not being able to load HBC from preloader, would render preloader useless ... even bootmii as an ios will be useless if you can't access hbc from preloader...
the whole beautiful thing about preloader was that it'd be able to run HBC before the rest of the system was started, so that if you ever installed a bad wad or anything, you'd be able to undo that...

EDIT: this goes for everyone who can't install bootmii as boot2...
