Does it even matter? It's just a roster update at this point.

My favorite soccer series was PES and Konami killed it and replaced it with a crappy game instead. So... I'll keep playing PES 2018 as I really enjoy the gameplay of it.

FIFA said that they would make a new FIFA game in 2022. We’re almost at the end of 2024 and there isn’t one in sight. So I’m going to call FIFA all upcoming EA games until they do.

What is less-than-full about Madden or NBA2K? They are INCREDIBLY immersive and and their fans spend hundreds of hours playing them. Are you expecting sidequests involving first person shooting or something?

Most likely NO! the issue wasn't performance but storage. Switch 2 isn't using blurays and looks like the base model, if you believe the leaks, is 256GB so I doubt sacrificing a quater of storage on the full fifa experience.

Let's be real here, sports games haven't been any good since the 6th gen consoles. Hell, the last good sports game I enjoyed was MLB 99 on the PS1.
